Provo Utah Family & Maternity Photos at Home

There’s something really special about photographing families at home — especially during a season of change. This Provo, Utah family session took place right outside their house, surrounded by flowers, warm light, and the comfort of familiar space. It was maternity-focused but felt more like everyday life, which made it even more meaningful.

At-Home Family Photos Surrounded by Flowers

Hydrangeas were one of my favorite details from this session. They were blooming all around their yard and added such a soft, romantic feel to the photos. We used the hydrangeas as a natural backdrop and let the kids play nearby while mom stood among the flowers, which felt especially fitting for a maternity session. Incorporating elements from their own yard made the images feel more personal and true to their everyday life, and the hydrangeas brought everything together in a simple, beautiful way.

Playful, Relaxed Family Photos on the Porch

Most of this session happened on their porch, which ended up being the perfect spot. The kids played nearby while mom rested, laughed, and soaked it all in. The flowers around their home added a soft, natural feel, and photographing them in a place that already held meaning made everything feel more personal.

As a Utah family photographer, I love sessions that feel lived-in and real. Home sessions allow kids to be themselves and parents to relax, which always leads to more genuine images.

Provo Utah Maternity & Family Photography

Provo is such a beautiful location for family and maternity photography, especially when sessions take place outdoors at home. The natural light, mountain air, and personal details all come together to tell a story that feels true to the family.

This session was a reminder that you don’t need a big location or elaborate setup. Sometimes the most meaningful photos happen right where life is already unfolding.

If you’re expecting and thinking about maternity photos in Provo, Utah — or planning a family session with young kids — an at-home session might be the perfect fit. These sessions are slow, playful, and centered around connection.

As a Utah family and maternity photographer, my goal is always to create images that feel natural, warm, and true to your family’s story.

A Growing Family of Four (Soon to Be Five)

This family of four — mom, dad, and two little kids — is getting ready to welcome a new baby, and the energy was equal parts calm and playful. Mom was glowing, the kids were curious and full of movement, and dad was right there in the middle of it all. We didn’t rush anything. We let the kids explore, climb, and cuddle in between moments.

Maternity sessions don’t have to be formal or posed. This one felt honest and relaxed, focused on connection and the season they’re in right now.
